It’s expected to launch into early access on Steam starting May 31. As far as I know there isn’t a dedicated retail version of Nemesis. Titled Nemesis Lockdown, the PC game boasts both a solo and a multiplayer game mode. I know this because I purchased straight from the manager in October to get my Nemesis game.Įdit: the store versions you are seeing are from those stores backing the Kickstarter and buying copies to sell. There is no need to back or anything via Kickstarter. In February 2021 the Gamefound pledge manager for Nemesis Lockdown will reopen for a September 2021 delivery. When it opens all you have to do is purchase. The only benefit of store purchase would be having it right now vice almost a year from now. Also the retail versions are from the first printing and most are pretty close to the pledge manager in pricing but missing all of the goodies. I don’t recommend ebay as the prices are insane. The version on there has all of the original Stretch Goals (Aftermath and Voidseeders) for a decent price. In the manager you will have the ability to purchase Nemesis and Nemesis Lockdown. Would be lucky to get either one, have seen a lot of people unable to find a copy before the recent Lockdown wave got delivered. In February 2021 the Gamefound pledge manager for Nemesis Lockdown will reopen for a September 2021 delivery. I might be on the side that Lockdown is somewhat better, but mostly it's just different from the numerous times I've already played the base game. The China shutdown a few months ago delayed it. Rebel games, the English retail publisher has said they are in the process of printing more retail copies. The last copies I saw for retail price sold just before Christmas. If you intend on painting the bases, it will 100% scratch & rub off the paint. Nemesis had a retail release late last year but sold out pretty quickly. If you don't intend on ever painting, then it's great. In Lockdown, they almost snap in and stay in place very tight. In base game the models just sit on the tray, which is fine. One thing that is good/bad is the component tray. Some components are better in Lockdown, like Hitpoint dials instead of cubes to track Invader HP. Content Notes: Retail Edition of Nemesis Lockdown Board Game by Awaken Realms. So that can change game dynamics a little. Only players who have raised their knowledge will be able to use the Weaknesses. Then you need to take other actions in game to raise your Knowledge up to the point of being able to use the other weaknesses. Check the products descriptions to see when a product will be shipping. You get 4 Knowledge from activating your token in the Archive i think? Which allows you to use the first weakness revealed at setup. If you want to get only first wave (May 2021) items or only second wave (September 2021) items, OR you want to get them all in the later, second wave (September 2021), pick Single shipment. In Lockdown you start with 1 revealed and the same conditions as Base game for researching the other two, HOWEVER, you can only take advantage of the weaknesses if you have enough Knowledge. Lockdown will retain the highly cinematic. In the Base game ANYONE could use them as soon as they were researched. New Nemesis - Lockdown & Lockdown Stretch Goals brings players to a whole new location - a secret base on Mars, represented by a multi level board. One thing that changed also is Intruder weaknesses. Lockdown is exploring a multilevel base, which is a bit different for exploring. Curious if anyone that ordered the Nemesis Lockdown retail box in Canada has received anything yet or heard any news Have had it on preorder from 401 Games for months and still seems it is not in stock to ship but was expected in Q1. Base game is just wandering the ship (with amnesia). Mostly that Lockdown introduces a Darkness mechanic that the Invaders are now stronger in. A few differences in the Invaders, but not a whole lot.
